Andrew Kulayige is the CEO of Britam Insurance company (Rwanda) Ltd, a subsidiary of Britam Holdings Plc. Before this role, he held key positions in different industries like Manufacturing, Agro-processing, Mining and Banking. He has served East African Breweries Ltd (EABL) as the Country Manager for Great lakes region (Rwanda , Burundi and Eastern DRC), Kinazi Cassava Plant (KCP) as the Commercial Director, East African Granite Industries Ltd (EAGI), as the Managing Director and Equity Bank Rwanda (EBR) as the Head Commercial and Institutional Banking before taking over as CEO Britam Insurance (Rwanda) Ltd from 2020 to-date.

With over 17 years of experience in leadership and commercial management, Andrew has driven significant growth and innovation in the companies he has worked for and managed. Under his leadership, Britam Insurance has expanded its market reach, diversified its product offerings, and enhanced its technological capabilities. His strategic vision and customer-centric approach have been crucial in maintaining a competitive edge.

Andrew aims to further contribute to the finance industry, particularly in insurance, by expanding into new markets, continuously innovating insurance products, and leveraging technology to improve customer experience.

He is also dedicated to mentoring young professionals and aspiring entrepreneurs, sharing his expertise to foster the next generation of business leaders and Insurance experts .

Mr. HODARI has 23 years of experience in the insurance industry. He started his professional career in 2000 with SORAS SA currently SANLAM Rwanda. In 2003, he joined CORAR/SAHAM where he contributed to establish Life insurance business that he led during 8 years before returning to SORAS /SANLAM VIE in 2011 where he served as Chief Commercial officer and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) since 2013.

In terms of professional and academic qualification, Mr. HODARI is a Charted Pension Analyst. He also holds a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) and a bachelor’s degree in Sociology.

Mr. Alex served in Bank of Kigali PLC since 2010 in various Senior Management Positions until mid-2016 when he became the Managing Director of BK INSURANCE Co. Ltd. Prior to joining Bank of Kigali PLC, Alex was the Head of Quality Assurance, a member of the reform team in charge of modernizing the Social Security industry and a State Attorney in the National Social Security Fund.

Alex holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the National University of Rwanda (NUR), a Master’s of Laws (LLM) majoring in International Commercial Law from The Robert Gordon University – United Kingdom and completed an MBA at Mount Kenya University. He holds a Certificate of Arbitration from the London Chartered Institute of Arbitration (CIARB).

She has over 12 years of work experience in banking and private sector institutions with extensive knowledge on banking and finance, data analysis, strategic planning and leadership, insurance and investments.

Prior to that, she was the Head of Strategy, Investment and Social Impact at Equity Bank Rwanda Plc. Dianah holds an MBA from Edinburgh Business School – Herriot Watt in the United Kingdom, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration (Accounting) from the University of Rwanda – College of Business and Economics. She is a certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Rwanda (ICPAR).
